Clinical Trials

As a University Hospital we strive to provide services based on the latest scientific standards. We carry out clinical trials on various gerontopsychiatric topics. The participation in such trials is voluntary and does not affect our regular diagnostic and therapeutic services.

For patients with diagnosed Alzheimer's disease we offer several diagnostic and therapy trials. By clinical vaccination studies (active and passive immunization) we want to verify if antibodies against the disease causing protein have a positive effect and improve or at least preserve mental abilities. There are also alternative treatment approaches and diagnostic concepts you can participate in.

Patients who suffer from a Mild cognitive impairment can participate in our prevention trail, that is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

If you are interested in participating in our trials, please contact us to arrange an appointment and to get informed about current possibilities.
