This module is mainly concerned with the treatment and research of personality disorders, especially personality disorders of the so-called B-cluster (borderline, histrionic, narcissistic). Clinically we offer a 3-month program of Dialectic-Behavioural-Therapy (Linehan) for the treatment of female and male patients with borderline personality disorder. For this program we provide a special ward with 18 beds and an inpatient program.
- DBT-group, 90 min. 3 x a week
- single-treatment session, 45 min. once a week
- single-treatment session with a nurse, 30 min. once a week
- eating-disorder group, 45 min. once a week
- health-education group, 45 min. once a week
- patients group (without therapist), 30 min. twice a week
- Mindfulness group, once a week 45 min.
- body-therapy once a week
- running group, twice a week
- (supervision for the residents and psychologists once a week
- supervision for the nurses once a week)
- Neurobiology of psychotherapy using psychophysiological and endocrinological techniques
- Risk factors (eg. comorbidity) for treatment response to psychotherapy
- Endophenotypes of personality disorder (Family studies)
- Novel drug treatment of cluster-B personality disorder (Clonidine)
- Behavioral genetics of cluster-B personality disorder
- MEG and emotional face perception in borderline personality disorder
- Self-worth and self-concept in patients with personality disorder
- Characterization and treatment of male borderline inpatients
- Functional MRI of emotion regulation in borderline patients (Empathy and Theory of Mind Paradigm)
